Changes in PowerPoint 2007
The first key change in the new PowerPoint is the new functions in the
Insert Ribbon.
In previous versions, when inserting images the photo stayed in its
original size which then required a large amount of resizing to make it
fit onto the size of one slide. In 2007 however, regardless of the size
of the image, it fits onto the frame of the slide.
Also new to PowerPoint 2007 is Smart Art Graphics. These are fairly
simple graphics that allow you to professionally and quickly add, for
example, hierarchical maps to a PowerPoint if for example you wanted to
present a family tree without drawing all the graphics yourself.

In the example below, Smart Art graphics have been used to insert Blooms
Taxonomy into a PowerPoint. If this task was done by the user, it would
take a lot more time to do this task.

Another new feature of the new PowerPoint is Photo album. This
allows you to create an entire PowerPoint with all the images
pre-positioned and aligned rather than having to do each slide on its
own.

A small warning, from the authors own personal experience, doing more
than about 50+images is likely to cause your computer to come to a
grinding halt, or PowerPoint at the very least. It is possible to do it
in small stages and edit in extra images as required.
